چکیده
Human enteric pathogens are a major global concern, as they responsible for thousands of preventable deaths every year. New in wastewater constantly emerging. For example, SARS-CoV-2 has been recently detected domestic sewage and primary sludge. Knowledge about the reduction viruses treatment their partitioning between treated liquid effluent versus sludge or biosolids is still very scarce, especially countries with emerging economies tropical climates. Upflow anaerobic blanket (UASB) reactors among top three most commonly used technologies Latin America Caribbean, use become increasingly common many other low- middle-income countries. High-rate algal ponds (HRAP) regarded sustainable technology post-treatment UASB effluent. This study evaluated overall liquid-solid somatic coliphages, F-specific E. coli pilot-scale system comprised reactor followed by HRAPs treating real wastewater. Average log removal coliphages were 0.40 0.56 reactor, 1.15 1.70 HRAPs, respectively. The both phages was 2.06-log. Removal consistently higher. number leaving solids biomass less than 10% clarified residuals estimated to be approximately one order magnitude higher Results from this demonstrate suitability UASB-HRAP systems reduce viral bacterial indicators importance adequately pathogen before biosolids.

Stimulation of methanogenesis in a laboratory scale UASB reactor treating domestic sewage by Fe(0) application.
The effects of application of zero valence Fe (Fe(0)) on the anaerobic digestion of sewage was investigated using two laboratory scale UASB reactors. One reactor had Fe(0) addition in a container found midway along the recycling loop. The other one was a control reactor. In a test run period of 76 days, the Fe(0) application significantly increased the CH, yield by 8.7% and decreased the efflue...
متن کاملThe effect of sludge recirculation rate on a UASB-digester treating domestic sewage at 15 °C.
The anaerobic treatment of low strength domestic sewage at low temperature is an attractive and important topic at present. The upflow anaerobic sludge bed (UASB)-digester system is one of the anaerobic systems to challenge low temperature and concentrations. The effect of sludge recirculation rate on a UASB-digester system treating domestic sewage at 15 °C was studied in this research. A sludg...
